Quimper is the main commercial centre of Cornouaille. Fashion, personal items, household goods, houseware, cultural and leisure products, food… there is a high-quality, wide range on offer. The town centre alone has 800 businesses.

Quimper, the four market town

Quimper has always been packed with markets : potatoes at place Saint-Mathieu, milk at place Médard, flowers at rue Astor, vegetables at place Maubert, milk and butter at place au Beurre.

Today, Quimper has four markets : Les halles Saint-François (covered market), le Grand Marché (The Big Market), Braden Market and the Kerfeunteun organic market.

Whether it’s a food market or a fixed market, you will love these places for the colourful ambience that the stallholders give them .
